EMLC Celebrates 10 Years!

Serving Florida Witches and Wiccans since 2002
Happy birthday to us! We’re 10 years old this year!

In 2002, Everglades Moon Local Council formed after a hiving from Dogwood Local Council.  We started with 8 covens and 3 solitaries.  Through the years, we have ebbed and flowed, expanding and contracting, but always going through these things together.

In 2012, EMLC celebrates 10 years of serving the Witches and Wiccans of Florida. Most of our founding members are still actively involved in our Local Council, with new members (both covens and solitaries) being added every year.

We have grown to 10 covens and 10 members of our Assembly of Solitaries.  We represent the entire state of Florida – from the Panhandle all the way down to Miami and the Keys.  We represent a wide range of traditions, from Georgian to Stregheria, and everything in between.  We attend festivals throughout Florida, participate in Pagan Pride Day’s throughout the state, and even host our own festival, Turning the Tide which is now in it’s 6th year.

We contribute to charitable organizations throughout Florida including the Center for Positive Connections, Iron Oak’s Mojo Fund,  Martha’s House, and more.  We also contribute to organizations across the country, including Operation Circle Care through Circle Sanctuary, Ardentane Pagan Center… and around the world!

We would not be where we are without our members.  It’s through their volunteer efforts that we are able to be such a positive influence on the pagan community.

Happy birthday to us!!
