  1. MaryAnne says:

Is the recipe for Florida Water available in writing anywhere? I had trouble listening past the background noise, and missed probably a third of the directions. Thanks!

    • Alpandia says:

MaryAnne: I checked with Kasha, and she says this is it 🙂

Choose plants, leaves and flowers that will help you do what you want to do

Florida Water consists of 3 Components:

The ratios aren’t as important as the ingredients. this is an herbal formula. Use ingredients with protective and cleansing properties, and spices that encourages stuff to happen quickly and move things along.

      basic recipe:
      3 parts bergomnt (1 part = 10cc)
1 part lemon (could use orange or lime, but bergomont has lime already)
[citrus: fresh, bright, positive, sun, clean]
      1 part lavendar
      1 part neroli
6 oz rose water (for color and fragrance) ~ 15 parts 🙂 or can use 1/2 part Jasmine (it’s very overwheling scent-wise)
      1/4 part clove
      1/4 part cinnamon

This is the base forumla, you can bump it up and add to it as you want. You can use fresh flowers, make a tincture… Kasha uses essential oils
Using essential oils will cause the water to separate though, so make sure to shake it gently before using
      ***DO NOT DRINK THIS WATER!!!!!****

Then get the cheapest vodka you can find as a base. You can also use distilled water if you have alcohol issues
Vodka carries the oils, disperses it, and then evaporates, whereas water stays longer
